1963 Ford F-100 Stepside Project
Everyday on the way to and from school i sawe a huge hood ornament on what i thought was a big old 4X4 through a dusty garage window, after 3 years of walking by i decided to ask the owner of the garage about it, an old lady (80's) answered the door and i asked her about the truck, She said it was owned by a a friend and she got me his number, i called him and asked him about the truck and he explained it belonged to his deceased father, i asked if i can buy it, and that i would like to restore it, when he heard that i wanted to restore it and he saw my LT, he said make an offer, i offered 125$ and he accepted, all he asked was for me to send him pictures of it when its done.
I moved it to the garage its currently in, now im working on it This the truck as i got it back in November 04, Truck Nov/04 Right Side Engine Compartment Nov/04

The Basic information
This is a 1963 Ford F-100 Stepside.
Origionally From NC, it was made in Virginia Came with Custom Cab (Chrome bits, Heater, special gauge cluster Wrap around window) 223 inline 6 3.7 Litre Stepside 1/2 ton When i got it the interior was useless, so i gutted it, i have new seats etc from a junkyard. behind front wheel wells and front floor pans rusted, back cab corners rusted out, the wood bed rotted out, and bed dented outwards. Interior After Gutted the Engine i started after a 15/16 year sit by putting in new battery and pouring gas into carb. after that i replaced plugs wires and oils. smokes a little bit on start up The clutch is stuck at the moment. 8/6/05 cleaned (did not acid wash) gas tank, hooked it up and ran fuel through system. 10/2/05 Fuel went bad so drained system and put new fuel in, starter jammed up when trying to start. ordered new starter and fuel sending unit. 10/12/05 Took out rotted wood, and took off bed. Back of Bed on Truck Truck W/O Bed Bed Seperate i have to go now, but ill continue the info and pics.

Basic Info Continued
Is my clutch a single plate, and how would i go about unsticking it.
I need to take the Fenders off the bed then the bed is going to go into the body shop and school to be completely straightened out, then we'll see what ill do then. Bottom Fenders Im still waiting for the Starter, it's on backorder once thats in ill see about starting the engine up, and letting it run till its at normal temperature, then with the clutch engaged im going to try to put it into gear and supposedly the force of putting it into gear that should free the clutch In the near future i need to replace the wheel cylinders so i can bleed them all, Only the front are bleedable and are working, and get the brakes working properly, The brake lines have been replaced all the way until it splits by the back axle, those are rusty, but will work for now I let my friend practice his airbrush work on my truck, (washes off) heres a full Picture of the truck now. with the paint, i also washed the outside of the truck. Left Side There Garage where i Do the work and Store the truck. Middle Door Right Door It will be trailored to the auto shops at my school in the coming months, so taht it can be put onto lift and so i have all the right equipment

please do not take chance with the brakes. it's a matter oif life and death-maybe your own. the brakes are the most important part of a vehicle. it's better to be able to stop than go. make the brakes right before you even try to move the truck.

the truck has a rust hole int he bottom left of the left front fender, pop riveting a peice of sheet metal onb the inside should be fine, and then filling in the 1/16 differance with a lead filler, would be fine right, im looking to learn how to use different tools and different new methods

I like your project truck. I use to have a `62 stepside that I delivered firewood out of. Can't remember if it had a wood bed or not, don't remember all those springs in the rear, have to wonder what it was hauling. The truck had either a 272 or 292 v-8 and never gave me any problems. I really liked the flat floor and the step set-up. To clean the floor I would just hose it out. Old RED was a nice maintenance free truck.

Body Panels
I took off the Rear brakes cleaned them completely out and replaced the wheel cylenders for now, ording the pads springs and whatnot, left rear wheel still drags a bit if you try to spin it backwards, needs to be checked out.
Taking apart the front now, bumper is being taken off and straightend going to start taking fenders and grill off to be sanded and any holes repaired, Need to take the fenders off bed so i can take it into the auto body shop. Getting a proper torch and grinder to cut out rust and the floor pans, any good tools i should know about or companies to check out Also interviewed and applied to UTI (universal technical institute) payed the highest application fee ever 100$

Hard Start
1987 dadge ram, 150 le
318 v8 It has a heard start, it takes about 5 or more seconds to start, i have no idea what could cause this, anybody have ideas on what it could be, when the truck is warm it usually starts on the second turn over. Timing? Choke? Right now im cutting out the rusted section of the floor pans, It seems the cab frame has a few rust holes in the corner,
