Dodge Dakota 4.7 ltr engine

My father must be bored. He has decided to trade in his 93 ford ranger that likely only has 60K miles. He was looking at an 03 Dakota with the 4.7 engine. Anyone with opinions on the Dakota or the 4.7 engine are encouraged to say what they think. Please do!

Far as I hear, they are a good engine, That year of truck came with the 5.9 250 horsepower 345 lb.-ft. torque, the 4.7 235 horsepower 295 lb.-ft. torque and finally the 3.9 v-6 175 horsepower 225 lb.-ft of torque. Overall I think the 4.7 is reliable like the old 5.2 318.
