Bsd contacts in the steering wheel, probably end up removing it to checkitout.

If you know what your doing I would say take it apart and fix it. Otherwise take it to a dealership. One wrong move on a 2002 pickup could set off the air bag which can be VERY dangerous. I would rather work under a pickup held up by 2x4's then to work on a steering wheel with a air bag especailly if I don't know what to expect or know what I'm doing. Not only is it dangerous and a screwdriver in your hand could get thrown back and stuck into your throat or something, but is also very expensive to replace a air bag. Theres times at work, I've seen one of the guys repair something on the steering wheel and they reconnect the battery. And the air bag goes off. Which then the dealership has to replace out of there own pocket. Sometimes it's $1,000+ for a new one.
