How time flys

Today is the day I started working for a GM dealership back in 1989. How time flys, I can't believe I've been at the same job this long. Originally, I was going to work maybe 4-5 years. Then find more of a desk job. Oh well. As long as I don't go home with broken knuckles it all works out.

i think in his reference to no shinned nuckles he meant that there is a lot of standing time due to the fact that chevies don't break down. he probably spent most of his time doing oil changes and repairing the used fords and dodges(trade ins) from the lot-lol-

And I, owning both now, can attest to the fact the Chevy is WAY more expensive to maintain than a Ford is. If it lasts as long as my Ford I should have just bought a new one.

you let your wife drive the chevy-right? is it because you feel safer for her to drive the better vehicle?

When your bucket lasts as long as all the Chevelles and Impalas out there, then you have something. As far as the Vega goes, I don't know which car was worse, the Vega or the Pinto. Always compare apples to apples I always say.

I probably do brakes, wheel alignments and spark plugs the most. Usually if it's a truck I end of fixing that, If it's a car that is front wheel drive usually then younger guys do them. Some are rice lovers so they enjoy it. Not me.

I never heard of a flying vega, unless someone pushed it off a cliff.

Don't tell anyone, but the pinto crashed.

I've been out of work for 8 months, 13 days. Does that count for anything?
Dern, time does fly!

Wheel; I don't think I could last that long being unemployeed. Maybe that's why I don't want to retire any time soon. I'd go nuts jst knowing I'm not working. Of course enjoying the type of work I do helps a lot.

I really hope you score soon and doing what ever it is that you like doing.
